Cam’ron and Ma$e have revealed that they were offered to walk Mike Tyson to the ring for his upcoming boxing match against Jake Paul but turned it down.
On an episode of It Is What It Is that aired on Tuesday (May 28), Killa explained why he and his co-host passed on the opportunity even before Tyson’s recent mid-flight health scare.
“They offered us the walkout with Mike Tyson,” the Dipset MC said. “This was before this incident and I’m like, ‘I’m not sure if I want to do that.’ Now, I’m probably not going to do it.
“‘Cause I don’t want n-ggas blaming me for nothing when n-ggas don’t win. Like when Devin [Haney] lost [to Ryan Garcia], n-ggas said, ‘Why he wearing Balenciaga sneakers?’ […] If we walk Mike out and Mike don’t win, I don’t know if I need that type of pressure.”
Murda cast doubt on Tyson’s reported ulcer flare-up, suggesting it’s an “escape plan” from his bout against Paul, who is 30 years his junior.
“I hope Mike is well […] but it sounds like Mike is trying to get a way out,” he said. “I know he shouldn’t need one but if they took him off this plane, we want to make sure he’s well. But are we having a fight or not? Is the fight still on?”
“Before this, I had Mike winning the fight. Now, I don’t know,” he added.

Earlier this year, Ma$e sent Cam’ron positive wishes after implying that he was confronted by Mike Tyson for claiming that that Jake Paul will win their their fight on July 20.
During an earlier episode of their sports show, the “Hey Ma” hitmaker predicated that the internet sensation would emerge victorious over the 57-year-old boxing legend.
“Mike is my man [but] this is my prediction for the fight: if Mike don’t get him out of there in five rounds, then I believe that Jake Paul’s gonna win the fight,” the rapper-turned-sports personality said, prompting Ma$e to joke: “Killa, I hope you don’t see Mike. Mike gonna want to talk to you about that.”
On a subsequent installment of It Is What It Is, the former Bad Boy Records spitter delivered a short monologue about his peer running into Tyson after he made the above comments.
“Cam is on his way here, he’s probably not gonna make this show. He was calling me while he was getting on this flight and he had some sad news,” he explained. “Mike Tyson, the guy he was running his mouth about, was standing right behind him when I saw him on FaceTime.”
While doing an impression of Tyson, he continued: “I think Mike was whispering too him, ‘Cam, I need to talk to you.’ And then Cam say he gonna call me back but he never called me back.
“So for everybody watching this, pray for Cam right now. I’m praying for Cam, you pray for Cam that Mike Tyson did not take his comments seriously. This is what happens when you run your mouth. How ironic was it that Mike Tyson was there right behind him?”
