Nicki Minaj is still in the midst of the European leg of her Pink Friday 2 World Tour – and it’s going so well, she just announced a second leg back in the United States.
Taking to her social media channels on Friday (May 24), the “Everybody” rapper announced that she will return to the States in September for a second run, nearly a year after kicking off the first leg in November.
“We did it, Barbz,” she wrote with a hand heart emoji. “The first US leg of the #PinkFriday2 #GAGCITY TOUR was SO SUCCESSFUL, I was offered a 2nd leg beginning in SEPTEMBER [celebratory emojis] Sign up now & tkts will go on sale in a few more days.”
She continued: “Wow. Wow. Wow. Wow. God is good. Don’t you ever give up. You got this. 😉 let’s go!!!!!!! #NickiAnnouncement”
Dates and venues of the shows have not yet been announced, but fans can sign-up for the pre-sale and get an idea of the cities she may be hitting here.
Despite being on probation, Nicki Minaj’s husband Kenneth Petty was able to join his wife overseas for the international leg of the Pink Friday 2 Tour after receiving special permission.
Per legal documents viewed by HipHopDX, the 46-year-old applied last month “to travel out of the country with his family for his wife’s tour” for “various purposes, including childcare.”
According to Petty’s attorney, the feds took no position on the request, and Petty’s probation officer “does not oppose” it.
Court records reveal that Petty previously tried applying for the travel permission under seal, but the attempt to keep his request secret was rejected.
On April 16, Judge Michael W. Fitzgerald approved Petty’s request.
Petty’s criminal past has made headlines recently after his updated photograph on the sex-offender registry surfaced online.
The image, which has been widely shared in the cyberspace, was recently published on the official website of California’s Megan’s Law, which is a federal mandate that requires authorities to make information available to the public regarding registered sex offenders.
The website lists Petty’s sex offender status along with personal details such as his date of birth, profile description and the reason for his conviction: “Attempted rape by force or fear.”
Petty’s sex offender status stems from a 1995 conviction for the first-degree attempted rape of a 16-year-old girl, for which he spent four years in prison. He was later slapped with three years’ probation and one year house detention after failing to register as a sex offender in California, where he and Nicki moved in 2019 before getting married.
